Former president Barack Obama has revealed his list of this years’ favorite books, songs and movies. “I always look forward to sharing my lists of favorite books, movies, and music with all of you,” he tweeted on Friday.

Already a tradition, the former president shared his top lists organized in three categories: “great movies,” “great songs” and “books I enjoyed.” “This year we heard a lot of great songs. Here are some of my favorites,” he tweeted alongside with the list of 25 tunes that he likes. The genres are quite diverse, from hip-hop to country and from rock to pop, the 61-year-old seems open to new sounds as he asked his fallowers if there are “any songs or artists I should check out?”

The favorite movies list includes 17 titles, also covering a broad range of genres from the top box office movie of 2022, “Top Gun: Maverick”, to the documentary “Descendant,” which he noted he was “biased” about since the Netflix documentary was produced by his own production company Higher Ground Productions. He posted the list with the caption: “I saw some great movies this year – here are some of my favorites. What did I miss?”

The former president also enjoys some good reads, his personal favorite being his wife’s latest memoir, “The Light We Carry”. “First up, here are some of the books I read and enjoyed this year. Let me know which books I should check out in 2023,” he tweeted.

Here are the full lists of the president’s favorites for 2022! Enjoy!
